CTUIL as an organization strives to enforce an ecosystem which will boost the renewable energy sector. CTU is dedicated towards facilitating integration of renewable energy sources with the grid in line with vision of Hon’ble Prime minister for achieving targets of renewable energy integration and reduction of carbon footprint. CTU facilitates ease of access of information to generation developers through single window portals line NSWS besides readily available information pertaining to upcoming transmission system for facilitation of RE injection, bay availability and margin.
Transmission system planned in consultation with stakeholders facilitating evacuation of power from 172.5 GW of RE generating capacity (including large hydro), which is about 41% of the total installed electricity generating capacity in the country.
As a significant step towards successfully achieving the planned RE capacity by 2030, transmission system has been planned for about 537 GW of RE capacity.
Helpdesks created from time to time for helping developers understand new regulations, procedure and portals.
The length of the transmission lines and sub-station capacity planned under ISTS for integration of additional wind and solar capacity by 2030 has been estimated as 50,890 ckm and 4,33,575 MVA respectively at an estimated cost of Rs 2,44,200 crores.
